The bulbs I got from Advance were 25 each! Holy moley. I can't be spending another $50 on fogs right now.
I bought the sylvania #885's, which are 50w compared to the 38w for the OEM ones. This cost me $23.00 and I did it in the summer of 2000, no problems These are just replacement bulbs for another application, nothing special. As far as the 9005's for the fogs, I don't think that would work in our cars because someone would have done that already

So they end up costing $10 then? If so, cool!

Roger, have you melted the fog light lenses at all?
It seems everyone with 885's has eventually bubbled the lenses to some extent. I've also got some on the way and if they last two years without damaging the lenses I'll pretty excited.

I know what you mean about the "melting". Some more than others too. Mine haven't done it as bad, as mine have a very slight bubble and theres this little "spot" right in the middle of the lense. Another local CEG-er, ConnietheContour, gave me his old lenses as he upgraded to some nice driving lights. Lets just say that one of his lenses looked like about a "B" cup I say go for it because if it melts too bad you have a good exuse to upgrade to the PIAA 510's

White Fog Bulbs: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/racinglab/nokarwhitpro1.htmlGet the Nokya 893's. They match the SilverStar's perfectly and are the brightest fog bulbs I've bought (dont get the cheap ones, they just burn out alot quicker and arent as bright). The nokya's are very nice and bright, color matches the sylverstar's perfectly, and not toooo expesive ($33 shipped). Trust me, and get the Nokya's (ya know, if you can't afford the PIAA 510's) you wont be disappointed.

If you searched the archives you'd see that there are many of us that have done this. The Philips Vision Plus have been the best I've seen so far. Four 9005s for all four lights. Great Mikserized headlight mod.
