Maybe the extra 9 watts of power has something to do with it, but I have NO problems when it rains/snows and the road is wet. I know what your saying about that because I had the Cuzo bulbs in a while back, 80w lows/100w highs, and when the road was wet and/or it was raining they were scary, couldn't even tell they were on. Those bulbs, the Cuzos, were bad ass when the road was dry though, but never did the highs in lows on those, bet thats something to see when you driving

I've never had a problem with my SilverStars, except that the ayer the most unreliable, least-lasting bulbs I have ever had in a car. I still don'r really understand the "yellow foglamp" part, I don't see how they can be so much better. My 6000 has both yellow foglamps, and regular white-light, under-bumper foglamps (yes, it did come from the factory that way) and I never use the yellow ones, I think they look a little strange. I should try them sometime when it rains/snows to see how much better they are. I should buy some more SilverStars, too, see if they actually last longer than two weeks...

either your handling the bulbs incorrectly, installing wrong (both of these are doubtful according to your posts), or your headlight wires could be messed up (there was a recall on the wires at some time).

I'm running the PIAA hyper-white bulbs and I love them. I bought Silverstar sealed beams for my friends Jeep for Xmas. and the difference is amazing. I'm not about to try to swap my PIAA's though until they burn out.

Whats the diff between the PIAA hyperwhites and the superwhites? I used to have the superwhites, lows, and thought they were WAY better than OEM. I know this because I installed my old PIAA superwhites in my wifes Trailblazer and did one, turned on the lights and showed her the diff, even my wife noticed/liked the diff

I just got me silverstr 9005s and was wondering if the tabs need to be completely removed, more specifically at the very bottom. Just asking because its a pain in the arse.

EDIT: Bulbs are in! Haven't been on the road yet but they seem to be much improved by thhe looks of it. Virgin aftermarket/mod bulb user.

Welcome to the "poor mans" HID club Have you upgraded your fogs as well? I wish they made Silverstars for the fogbulbs, if they did, I'd get them in a hurry! Next mod is to get the PIAA 980 Dual lamp system, like I bought for my wifes truck. Then I can use the factory fogs for "looks" and then when the serious weather rolls in turn on the PIAAs

Nope haven't tupgraded the fogs... What do you suggest I use? I was just talking to Luke and he said he is using 9005s in his Focus for fogs. Do you recommend the same route?

The bulbs I got from Advance were 25 each! Holy moley. I can't be spending another $50 on fogs right now.
