I think I should comment too. I have the SilverStar low-beams in my car, they have ups and downs. In normal dry weather night driving they are an improvement, but when it rains or just after a rain when the road is still wet... they are almost scary. Sometimes it seems like the headlights aren't on at all.
I think this is due to the fact that they have that "close to the sun" wavelength. While that is well and good for HID, these bulbs can't put out that kind of light to perform in non-ideal conditions. The downside to this is they don't cut through inclement weather as well as a stock bulb would that has more of the yellowish hue to it, a wavelength better suited for that environment given its reflective properties.
Sorry to play devil's advocate, but I figured it was worth having opinions on both side of the discussion given my experience with them.
