IMHO, there is no blue involved.

The bulbs have an iridescant purple coating to them and the light output is nice and white with a hint of purple (That is reminescant of the BMW 745I HIDs )

Last night was my first time driving with them and all I cna say again is WOW! I never felt comfortable turning off my PIAAs with my APCs, with the Silverstars I felt comfortable doing this.

Even though Roger and I don't agree on Waxes/Polishes , I will honestly say I agree with him on the Silverstars (especially with 9005s in the low beam) mod! Worth the $42. I think I could put these pretty high on my favorite mod list, definately behind the PIAAs and my Donnelley mirror though!

I took the plunge! I now have 9005 Silverstars in my lows.

Cost: $19.99 each at Autozone.

Don't forget about the $10 mail in rebate!

That will bring the total to about $32 including tax.


I thought the tabs were a harder to get rid of then I expected. I ended up using the Dremel to cut them out.

I am pleased with the results.

Rebate???? I bought mine at AutoZone today, and I didn't get a rebate Help me out!!

i got mine at advance, but the rebate is a manufacture mail-in rebate, at advance it was right over the bulbs.

I was checking out and I noticed a sticky pad on the counter that said $10 mail in rebate on a set of Silverstars. I grabbed a couple. They probably have them. Offer expires 6/30/03.

You would think this would be something they might advertise.

they did advertise it where i live.

I had to dremel mine too, no big deal though. I used my smallest grinder bit and buh-bye tabs, hello brightness!

I just used a box cutter to remove and smooth them down, I don't have a dremmel tool, yet Yeah your right Eric L, we don't agree on wax, but atleast you don't call it "overated" or "it leaves an oily residue on the car like tranny fluid"

Ok bought the bulbs, 2 sets of the 9005's, took the tabs off one set but no installation yet. I have just a quick question. I heard talk of reaiming your lights after installation......can anyone fill me in on this.
