I did the high to lows about a year ago. No problems at all and it is not blinding to oncoming traffic at all. Just make sure to adjust the aiming once completed. You would have to do this even if you put in regular lows.

Great saftey mod BTW!

I put 9005s in my low-beams, and actually RAISED the headlamps up, now theyr're more comparible to the headlamps on the 540 (though not as sharp and white) and I have never been flashed, although I have flashed a few people who drive with their high-beams in the city! I love them.

I bought Silverstars the 1st day they came out, and when changing I took a pic with 1 stock bulb, 1 silverstar (High in low). The pic isn't the best quality and it was cold as heck so I didn't stick around to take a bunch of pics, but if you look at the color you can see yellow (stock) vs white (silverstar).

Ok, have to admit I had my doubts about these bulbs, but I had some Christmas $$ and since nobody around me has them to see, I had to buy some to try them out for myself. It had been killing me not seeing how these look.

All I can say is WOW! I think it was the hint of the purple I caught at an angle that sealed the deal!

I have had the APC Xenons in since I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago. They weren't the typical blue APC bulbs, they had a nice whitish-blue light to them.

The Silverstars match my PIAA 510s almost perfectly, if not perfectly! I only bought 1 set of 9005s for the lows, I had APC 9005s in there before, so I had already seen the advantage of the high in low swap, so I don't think I gained anything else in that respect.

I will be buying another pair for my high beams soon, as I am bored with the blue bulb look in my headlights.

Sorry I doubted everybody, and glad I took the leap of faith!

i saw a good enough diffence just switching to sivlerstar lows. they are so much brighter and whiter than stock, i see no need for 9005's in the lows. (my stock bulbs could never shine to the back of my backyard from my driveway, but the silverstars can, and they do it well too.)

Welcome to the club Eric L. I had the PIAA Superwhites (9006) and went to the Silverstars (9005), so you can imagine the difference I gained They've been in for about a month and noone has flicked their brights at me. I say this because people have been PM-ing me and asking me this. Once again your still using the low beams, just uping the wattage from 51w to 60w. I too need to buy another set of Silverstar 9005's for my highs for the matching set.

is it correct that the Silverstars do not have the blue imitation HID look to them?

The silverstars do have a very light blue color to the bulb, BUT when you turn them on its PURE white, very white, especially if you do the highs in lows mod I'll tell you for $42.00 its a great "bang for the buck" mod, IMO!

looking at my light pattern on the ground while in car, i see a very very slight blue tint. outside of the car it looks like pure white.
