When doing some work on my 95 I was checking fuel pressure by releasing the outlet valve located by the fuel rail. There was virtually no pressure! Thought maybe a bad fuel pump, etc. Replaced the fuel filter that I happen to have one on hand and the pressure shot up to normal. I just don't know how the engine drove so smooth while being starved for fuel!
