I like the SHO shop bars, had them on my SVT for a couple of years....I've heard in the past someone had broken their struts with them, but I myself can't see the struts breaking unless they were way over torqued. I take mine to the track all the time. I have tried both OMP and SHO shop, and I prefer the SHO shop. Personal preference I guess, I like the way the car feels with the SHO shop better.
You hold the brace in the position you want it, the tighten the end nuts...that holds it in place. I put rubber bushings in the brackets to help with the loosness, not that it matters since the forces exerted are lateral.
With the design of the Contour, you won't find a lot of difference in handling with eitherof the Front bars, but big cool factor.
