The whole idea behind the FSVT swap was better performance for little to no extra cost. I don't road race, or streetrace for that matter...only some spirited driving, I might hit the track at the national meet, so for me, it was a good decision.
Ditto.

Thanks for the compliment. When I first saw Toreador red in the magazine's (March, 97), it thought it was ugly, until I saw my car on the showroom floor. I took it home that night. Back to brakes....I understand keeping the cost down, and trust me, my street racing days are long gone and I doubt I'll take it to an open track event (I could be pursuaded maybe..), but I do the spirited driving thing. Anyways, they're saying that the cost of SVT Focus rears are 360 through Bill, which is a good price, but the basic TCE kit costs 435, which is an 11.75 x .81" two-piece, vented rotor. I believe the SVT-F rear brake rotor is solid. And Shaun, I hate your brakes!!!!!

The SVT Fronts (rotors and calipers and pads) are $360, the rears, as of now, nobody wants to mess with the e-brake cable. The other deciding factor, I don't have bigger wheels to fit anything else under them , well, not yet atleast And at the time the TCE kit wasn't that cheap as well. They sure do look purdy though. Maybe, MAYBE next year. We'll see once I slap on my 18's.

Nevermind me, I've been working too many 12 hour shifts in a row. That's cheap for a front upgrade, the BAER kit's start at around 650 or so.....

i might have misread but did someone say that the fsvt brakes are 4piston? Also, another mentioned that there was something not to be touched about the ebrake cable... can yeall explain that a bit more? Im kinda new to this brake thing so go easy on me
----
found out they are 11.8" front (300mm) 11" (280mm) rear vented discs
----
Im having to switch from rear drum all the way to fsvt rears... any words of advice on how to make it easier? (well not necessarily fsvt, but i dont really know any other options - i was mostly concerned with gettin ANY discs in the rear )

Stock FSVT are not four piston! Someones pulling your leg. The aftermarket kits such as mine are, but then you'd just be using the one for the Contour anyhow.
None of the rear kits for the Foucs are four piston either. Hardly worth the parts to do it. E brake cables on the Focus have to be changed IF you start with a drum car and chang to disc. No compatability between the rear brake parts on both of these cars that I can see. Fronts yes, with some work that has been talked about before.
