Was anyone else at the Hartford civic center last night for the show? Just for the record it was amazing!!! The coolest part: I officially turned 23 at a GnR concert...sweet.

Best review I've heard so far was on BCN last night. Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) was interviewed live. He mentioned seeing a "great cover band," meaning the new G'n'R. He said they played a hell of a show, and they're all talented, but, they're just NOT GNR.
I'll have to hear the new album if it ever gets released!!

I heard on the radio this morning that they still sell 5,000 copies of Appetite for Destruction a week. I've had it for years and still enjoy it. I'm not really interested in the new stuff much though.
I used to love her.... then I had to kill her....

I think it is a damn shame what Axle Rose is doing. I think he should have changed the name of the band. Best of luck to him, but come on now. I was one of the biggest G-n-R fans around, saw them in concert 3 times....... I still believe Appetite is one of the best albums of all time.

if he's able to pull it off...I give him ALL the credit in the world.
but.....last time i saw the "new" GNR, was at the mtv video music awards at the end....he sounded pretty good!

I was surprised, they sounded really good. Going into it, I figured Axle was getting kinda old and would probably run out of steam in the middle of the show. However, they played for almost 2 hours. Their new stuff sounds decent, I'm not sure if I'm really into it though. I guess to an extent they are just a pretty good cover band. Whatever, I had fun.
