OP parisis New CEG\'er P Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 13 Delaware	Now that I have my new killer head unit(See previous post) I worry about theft. I have two questions. Is the Ford/Mercury Alarm system worth anything or is it just a Blinkin' light? Is removal of the face plate a real deterrent or are faceplates readily available? Thanks 1998.5 Mystique LS V6

My wife took off the faceplate and put it in the glovebox, so the thief popped the stereo, opened the glovebox, and took off. If it wasn't there, I'd probably only have to replace a broken window as opposed to a broken window and HU.
