Can anyone help? 2 problems....

1. When cold, accelerating away (V6 - MTx), the engine revs cleanly, then gets "stuck", really like a noticable drop in acceleration, then goes ok again, then drops etc. No noise or anything, just a dropoff in acceleration.

Will do this until the temp gauge is off full cold. I'm not revving the living daylights out of my engine, just accelerating away with a reltively cold engine, up to about 4000-4500rpm.

2. In normal driving, the clutch pedal has a certain amount of force required to push it to the floor for gearchanges. Intermittantly (i can't think of a common factor - it seems to be random), the pedal becomes much softer - i nearly put my foot through the floor. There doesn't seem to be any reason. Has done it a couple of times driving around the suburbs when i have been on the freeway for around 45mins? Any ideas why this happens? Doea this happen to anyone else?

At what RPM does it begin to stick ?? The secondaries open at ~3400rpm. If the "sticking" occurs at around that rpm, I would suspect the IMRC (Intake manifold runner control)

Everything else ok ?? Plugs/wires changed recently ?? Air filter clean ??

Yeah, does happen then. But same thing happens around 4500 too. So i've given up when its cold for first few miles and just keep it under 3000.

It's just been serviced, hasn't been driven in dusty conditions.

Maybe an excuse to remove current air filter and put in a K&N ?
