I have 98 svt contour ..recently my ac and heater stopped working, i can feel the heat or cold air but it does not blow, but wait its not the blower ..read on ...I checked the resistors...not blown or burnt altough my little brother dropped it and broke a piece off of the porcelain after I took it out..I also tested my blower motor with the battery by connecting the + and - with a wire and it spun, meaning it worked..If it is non of these would it be my relay..i checked all of the fuses including the one for the blower and it is fine??? I am stumped..however when I took the resistor out it was cracked somewhat around the band looking part underneath the porcelain which I dont think would be it ...right...someone help me out .. i have the relay ordered on its way..if that does not work what could it be?

It coudl be your switch, mine went out last night in matter of fact. I pulled apart my dash and checked my switch because all my fuses were good and sure enough my switch was fried. It cost me about 8 to get a new switch from o'reilly's auto parts, but then again i drive a mystquie

It could be what I just went through - if the blower is trying to blow but you're not getting any flow, change the cabin microfilter. You can quickly and easily pull it to check it's condition - mine was totally clogged and wet, allowing nothing to flow through it. Even quicker - set the flow to Max A/C - this is recirc. mode - if you get flow, your cabin air filter is totally blocked.

thanks for all the responses guy..however I dont think its the filter because my motor will not turn on at all. It works so it either has to be the switch is fried or the resistor/relay
