Why build a convection oven for your air filter. Use something that does not absorb & transfer heat so efficiently.
I wouldn't be surprised if it actually increased heat soak at low speeds. At any speed without a cold air draw from the front.
How about some independant temperature reading tests.
True, true, though I do admire the idea, I will have to subside with Demon and say that for the cost that you spent on building that and the filter you could have built a setup like I have and be drawing forced cold air into your intake above 45 MPH and cold fresh outside air below 30MPH.
