How does a throttle body feel when it goes? That sounds like a load of crap the dealer gave you. Which part goes bad? There is only one moving part that I can think of and as far as I know they don't go bad. There is a throttle position sensor on it that could go bad but that doesn't warrant a whole new tb. Anyone else shed some light one this?
