You can pull of your oil filter, cut it open and see if there are any metal shavings in the element. If there isn't anything in there, that's good. I would then open the hood, start the motor and try to figure out where the noise is coming from.

If there is some crap in the filter, then you will need to pull the motor and yank the crankshaft out and check all the bearings. There is no way around it, and the sooner you do it, the better off your motor is going to be.

simple question on the intermitant "ticking".... is it louder when next to a building or guard rail or something like that? if it is i could just be a small exhaust leak that you are hearing bounce or reverb off of the wall. just a thought. if it is a engine "knock" it should match speed with the rpm's and you should still here it on hard accelerations. the exhaust leak ticking disappears under higher rpm's. hope this helps.

tim.

p.s.
Guilty2 where are the pics of your new rims??????

Good description on how to diagnose if its an exhaust issue for sesomba.......... You should also check your belts and pulleys for possible damage.... since it does increase in speed with the RPMS........ Give us some more info Sesomba.....

In my case, How can I check if my tensioner is bad? or how would i know if a pulley is bad? I can't notice any wobble, but the noise is there........definetly Left sided.

Thanks,
Jason

P.S. Tim, for the ONLY pics i have at the time, check my signature under "my ride"....... Still waiting on the others to be developed.... Soon though....

Well fella's,

I appreciate all the good input. I'm taking it tomorrow to the dealer where I bought it and they are going to do a free diagnosis on it since it's where I bought it. I'll keep ya updated on what they tell me.

Thanks for all the good ideas.
Bradley
