Did you sign anything when you got it to the dealer??? If you signed anything like a work order that gave a description of the problem then you are more or less (in their eyes)are telling them to fix it! Plus, labor is VERY expensive at the dealer. Every time I've had work done it's always worked out to around $50/hr!!
Don't know about misc. charges but there is usually some kind of a shop disposal fee tacked in somewhere. I just had mine in yesterday for a burnt up park sensor and was charged $38 for the part and $195 for 4 hrs of labor but I won't complain because they did 2 recalls while it was in there and even cleaned it up good and did it all in 6 hours.
BTW, I DID tell them to fix it!
