I used the fishing line to take them off using a sawing motion. For the sticky part, I first used a plastic scraper and goo gone, but scraped the hell out of my car. Rubbing compound took the scratches out. The scraper wasn't working too well. I then used gloves and just rolled the sticky stuff off. It took about an hour, and became a little fun. I kind of enjoyed watching the silver stuff just roll into one big ball. I'm going to wash and wax the car tomorrow morning. THe gloves made all the difference. Hope this helps someone else, because I was very frustrated when I first started.

Dang man, wish I could think about washing and waxing my car....forcast here calls for high winds and 4-8 inches of snow tomorrow... congrats on getting the guards off though, it does make a big difference in how the car looks.

I have pics in my sig. I used gloves, too. After getting like 4 blisters trying to get the glue off without them. It looks so much better without the door dings

I have pics of a knauberized T-red 2000 SE. Fototime ate my pictures, so it'll take me a little bit to get them back up.
