I'm considering removing the ding guards on my car, but I get freaked out sometimes about a**holes who don't know how to park. The second day I had my car after buying it some old woman opened the car door of her bargelike piece of crap right in front of my eyes and boom, right into the ding guard! Luckily, there was no bad scratching, otherwise I would've given her a good screamin.

Yeah I have a couple of those marks on my door dings. Thats why I park away from everything where ever I go now. I wish they had a force field alarm you could buy.LOL

you could get a sensor for your car that's made for convertibles, if it detects movement it'll go off. i always park far away from everything, even though my car looks sorta bad right now (no dents though ).

The door ding guards didnt save me from any scratches at all for the short time I had them on. They were all above or below the guards. The only car they worked on one time was another Contour.
