I have a Zetec from a 96 contour in my 95 mystique. It was put in before I got it. I don't know how much under the hood is 95, and how much is 96.
I do know that my CEL stays on, all the time. The engine runs great, and there are no codes stored in the computer (Ford and Autozone both checked). I don't know if this has anything to do with the 95-96 hybrid or not. The only thing I found that was clearly not compatible was one sensor mounted on the firewall. I don't even remember what it is. Has a couple of vacuum lines and electrical lines going to it. I think it goes to the EGR. I had to modify the connector to make the wires fit. I also had to change the vss to hook up with the speedometer cable. Other than that, I've not noticed any differences.
