ok, so I was talking to by mechanic and was wondering what engine block would be the best to build up for the zetec? I heard that the mazda6 engine is the same? true? otherwise, would I have to stick with the contour? thanks for any help Johnny

Focus would be the way to go, basically anything without the VCT to deal with.

The setup is slightly different. The EEC is way dff as well. How about a Cosi motor from England??? That IS the way to go.
BTW- The Mazda6 is the Zetec replacement. It is 2.3L w/160hp(4bangs)and optional 3.0L w/215hp (6bangs).

yeah, I would LOVE to have a cosi but they are way to expensive to ship over. If I could get it for a decent price I would be all over it
