We had a bomb threat at work last night at 3:30 am.
I work at StarTek, we activate phones for the American CO. T-Mobile. and at 2:30 the person two seats beside me gets a call from some whacko saying there's a bomb in the building and it will go off in 10 min. No one had any idea what was going on but she got the attention of the lady sitting between us and told her to get the supervisor. We were thinking it was an obscene call of some perv breathing heavy or something, till the sup. got off the phone ran to her desk and told every one to get off the phones NOW and get out of the building.
I must admit this one freaked everyone out, we've had bomb threats before but this time when our supervisor tried to get info from the guy he just said "Look I'm not tell you where I am, but I can tell you where you are. Your at (then said the address) in Kingston On, off highway 15" That scared the $hit out of every one. We have never had the guy tell us where we are, we are not allowed to tell any one our location over the phones to any one who calls in.
So we all evacuate the building and get in our cars to stay warm, and to move to the back of the parking lot. When two cruisers show up. Two! That's it. We were so pi$$ed. The two uniforms walked around the building and "Cleared it". No dog, no bomb squad, man there was only 2 cops there. After they walked through the building they went out side to their cars and filled out the paper work. So the City police really didn't think this was serious, but they could have at least acted like it was.

Any way sorry for the long read I just had to tell someone about my night.

glad you are ok.

I have a similar story with my Highschool. We had two bomb threats. The first one we were evacuated. The second one we were held in side out class rooms until the bomb squad deemed it safe to leave.

not to many parents were happy with that one.

Glad it wasn't for real. To many stupid things are happening in this world these days for situations like these to be taken lightly. Hopefully people will start to grow up by the time I have children. I know better though.

Wow. They really should have taken that more seriously in light of the current society. I wonder what they would have done if they did find something. I would hate to think if that happened in downtown Toronto. Would they only evacuate one building. I dont think so. They would probably evacuate the entire downtown core.

Glad to here that it was false though.

We get Bomb threats all the time at work. Nobody really cares. They just do a quick sweep and that's it. Really, if you think about it, you know it's not a real threat.

Does make your heart skip a beat though. Bet it made for an interesting night anyways.

Our Scarborough office has has a few bomb threats...probably because of its proximity to Federal buildings and public transit arteries. The first day on the job, we were in another building. One of the PR folks who blabbed about our dept. told us. Greeeaaaattt.

Although...who'd wanna bomb lil ol' us?
