Agreed, but the Mustang is a better made car. The driveline in a Camaro is cheap and outdated. GM was so cheap that when they went from the LT-1 to the LS-1, they didn't even bother to change the floor plan (the bulge in the passenger side floor was no longer needed as the underbody catalytic converter was no longer placed under the passenger). So The passenger footwell has a POS bulge in it for no reason. Also GM decided to stop rust proofing the axle, propshaft and underbody too towards the end. So you can buy a nice new Camaro and after a year the axle and proprshaft are as rusty as the frikken Titanic. Up until the 2003 Cobra came out, the Camaro had the Cobra in it's pocket, as far as drag racing was concerned. But for a track car the Cobra is far better, especially the new one.

Why does everyone bash camaros? It was one hell of a car... Fast, sleek, and just beautiful... So why doesn't anyone like them? Not starting a war here, just asking a question or 2...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I just hated driving them. Damn uncomfortable cars.

I'm still looking for a 98+ WS6/SS Camaro/TransAm. I have two friends with one of each, one with a blue 1999 SS convertible with white top and leather, one with a red 2000 WS6 convertible with black top and leather. Personally, I'd rather have T-Top. As soon as I find one, it's mine! But, good luck finding one in December...

except for all the cheap stuff GM did (ford has done same sorta things), i'd still rather have a camaro (rust isn't a big problem in south GA and who cares about the passenger ) v6 vs. v6, camaro is still faster, IMO looks good, and handles better. and i'd take a GM tranny over a ford any day,,,,, actually so would ford, they just made a deal with GM to use GM's design for a new 6 speed ATX.

That hood looks great. My vents are real. I worried about water getting on the motor but everything works good. The engine get much dirtier though. I think I had $ 50 into my hood start to end.

I could care less about which one has the biggest advertisment in it... Yeah I was wrong in some of the things I said, like the handling department, but I know which is faster, I'm young I like speed (makes you wonder why I have a Zetec) but To me, Camaros were very nice looking cars, Yeah maybe the quality wasn't the best, but it was hard to beat in a straight line... Oh, when the 03 Cobra was compared to the 02 35th Ann. SS, even the guys who wrote the article praised the SS for it's handling and speed... So, if a Mustang Mag. will praise it, then it must have something good... I believe the only complaint about the SS was of course the huge doors and the bulge in the passengerside floor...

I SO hope I find a WS6 or an SS soon. I love those. There's nothing like the "sitting-on-the-floor-with-your-legs-straight-out-in-front-of-you" feeling. Besides, I love the sound of the engine Mustangs don't come close in my book!

Just for reference: my brother had a 95 v6 Camaro and my mom has a 2000 v6 Mustang. We raced them several times. No matter who was driving, the mustang always won. The camaro eventually had to be sold because it was gettin rackety. It seemed every plastic trim piece in that car rattled...
Oh yeah, my mom's automatic SHO owned them both.
