I have to agree, I have driven friends' camaro and mustangs. I'd rather have a V6 camaro over a V6 mustang any day, though the mustang seems safer (can see more, a little more room on inside, more windshield to see through). now between SS camaro and GT or SVT stang... well that's an obvious choice. And base camaro handle better than base mustang,,, which means a lot to me.

Same with me. A lot of my friends have 1998/1999/2000 and so on Z28/SS Camaros, and a few have GT Mustangs. The Mustangs drive like Escorts compared to the Camaros. F-Bodies have raw power, especially in SS trim with 320hp, Mustangs have a whopping 260, which means they're nearly out-powered by a V6 Maxima. Not trying to start anything here, just voicing my opinion. As soon as the new Camaros/Firebreathers come out, I'll be first in line to check em out

they needed all that power because they were freaking huge, especially the firebird... Not to mention it flet like your a$$ was dragging the pavement while driving in one. Obviously not enough people liked them or they would of sold better and GM would still be making them.

um ok have you ever heard of torque?????and by the way a maxima does not run anywhere near a gt...at best a new 6 speed maxima"might" break into the high 14's....a new mustang gt will run high 13's bone stock,at worst low 14's....now how does a car that runs a second slower nearly outpower it....simple it doesn't....

High 13's my ass... a stock GT will be lucky to hit MID 14's... My dads 94 Z hit 14.0 stock, and it is faster than any stock GT, now that the Z's have/had 305 it would hit high 13's stock... My dads 94 hit 13.5 with basic bolt-ons, CAI, Cat-Back, and chip, well reprogrammed chip... He put a set of 373s in it too but never ran it with them in it... So my question to you is, How is a Mustang GT with all it's 260 HP going to outrun a Z-28 with 305 HP? I know the mustangs are not that much lighter than Camaros... I also know that Camaros have more TQ than Mustangs, so again, how is it possible for a stock GT to run high 13's when a stock Z will run high 13's and kill a GT??? Get your facts straight then come argue...
So the Camaro/Firebird aren't made anymore, I'm sure that makes you Mustang guys happy, now you don't have to suffer the embarassment of getting beat by a Camaro for another year...

It's not that I don't like Mustangs, I do, they are nice cars, they just can't compete with F-Bodies... Here we go... V6 vs V6, winner...Camaro GT vs Z-28, winner...Z-28 SS vs Cobra, winner...SS Ok before the 03 Cobra, but still F-Bodies will always win when it comes to 1) Handling 2)Acceleration 3) Looks 4) Reliability... I know some of you will call BS on that, but consider this... How many Mustangs would hold up to drag racing every weekend for 2 years straight, plus be driving an additional 500 miles every week for 4 years? I know my dads 94 Z did...
