I'm not going to defend what the kid did because in my view there are more interesting points to this encounter in comparing the vehicles. Being a severe hater of the badge, (power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely) AND the media, I find all the inaccuracies of the narrator and the network to be typical of this ill-informed lot. BMW didn't supercharge the M3, in fact they pride themselves in normally aspirated horsepower. The one in the video was likely the 2302 cc 4 cyl rated at 192 bhp, and had a claimed top end of 143 mph (other sources have the numbers at 205 hp and top end as high as 155). What I enjoyed was how the "seasoned" badge lost it at the first fake and appeared to be the only damage that occurred in the chase, yeah, what a hero.

Get a grip buddy, don't they PAY you to do this stuff? My other favorite indicator here is how the "supposed" 300+ hp Camaro (I'm not an American car fan, I don't know their specs) with at least twice the displacement didn't seem to have anything on the Bimmer, in fact it would seem the Bimmer may have had top end on the American torque machine. (I'll take the Horsepower anyday, torque is for short attention spans).
Seems to me if Bavarian Motor Werks were to see this they'd either be pretty proud or in pain from laughing.
BTW, I didn't buy that cr_p at the end about breaking down either, but I did miss that it was likely a replay and I like how it didn't show anyone apprehending him.....pretty funny how the media works, isn't it? Lies, half truths and whatever they THINK the public should hear/see.
