1: The clunking in the back. Said to be the sway bar hitting the sub frame or s f connectors. How do I fix it? SVT123 told me that he went to a guy in Grand Rapids who re welded the sub frame for him, and everything is good. Anyone know who this guy is? or someone that can do the same thing? (maybe close to detroit?)

2: When I press the trunk release on the keyless entry, it doesn't open. You hear the noises, but it like sticks or something. Maybe not lifting out of the lock or something. I have to pull the trunk up as I press the button.

3: The E-Brake light goes on and off going over bumps. The lever doesn't seem to lock in the down position. There is a little space that it can wiggle up and down, setting the red light off on the dash. Anyone know what I should do?

4: Stop wheel-hop?

Number 2 is real simple. Simply adjust the lock latch located in the trunk. You know the loop that the lock connects to. You loosen the torx screws and adjust the latch up or down as needed.

The rest I am not sure of... Number 3 might be a loose connection in the center console. If you can jiggle the E-brake handle, then that is most likely what it is.

I would like to know the answer to number 4 myself.

stop wheel hop=drag slicks,,, what kinda sway bar do u have? any local welder should be able to weld a box around your sway bar mounts.

1. I have the clunking, too. I've checked the sway bar and it looks fine...no idea, so I live with it.

3. My e-brake light was doing the same thing. Checked the brake fluid and it was low. $1.50 bottle at Wal-Mart and no more light.

RE: There is enough fluid in the reservoir until the brakes wear out. If the light is coming on, check your front pads for wear...

A) Trunk struts (unlikely, but possible)
B) Latch alignment (gotta check it anyway to check ...)
C) remote latch automatic opener electromechanical thingy

Remove any trim near the latch. Remove the trunk latch and follow the cable attached and running to your left to the doohicky because it might be broken. I'm assuming you didn't crawl in the trunk at any point.

Hold the latch in your hand and press the TRUNK button to see it move (you hear it so the motor is still moving). Use your key in the lock and watch what it does. Does the remote lever work correctly (need assistant), because that's a 3rd set of cables IIRC.

If they're pretty much the same, set the trunk latch back in and make sure it's alinged correctly.

If TRUNK doesn't work, go take the contraption out and replace it. Heck, take it apart if you want; watch the spring. Hold it in your hand with electrical connection and hit TRUNK. Gotta buy the whole thing (except the rod piece which is sold seperately and not broken) from Ford when you're done. I forget how much from Bill Jenkins, but it's below $100 to my knowledge. Made in France.

1. you can reweld that with no problem all you need is a mig welder. Just to to an exhaust shop and they can fix it for you i am sure
2.)fix the spring in the trunk it is probably worn out
3.)more then likely it is just a lose connection and you have nothign to worry about but it might be more then that so dont over look it
