the alternater on the 4cyl is not to bad 1 1/2 hours in and out. mine went .it was just the regulator that went . 66 bucks canadian. have someone you trust check it . a rebuilt alternator is between 250 to 300 . big differance . Don't let them hose you . Good Luck
