I'm seriously against running them in snow, due that the KDW's are partly to blame for a little "off-road" excercise that I had about 2 years ago with the car (driving to the conditions as well). With any type of ice or moderate snow coverage on the ground, they REALLY suck. I've run a number of other performance tires in bad weather and by far and away the BFG KDW's are about the worst I can remember (older Pirelli PZero's take the Gold for worst wet and snow handling in my book).
I'm not saying go out and buy dedicated snow tires, but I'd find some cheap all-seasons or something else, especially if your BFG KDW's are low on tread.
Better $200-400 in tires now than run the risk of putting the car off the road...
