The 9006 are low beams right?

See http://www.batinc.net/contour.htm

Yeah, 9006 is for low beams. Just remember, you will need to install a relay if you go with the 80/100 watt bulbs, or you will toast the wiring to an nice cripsy texture. It's also written in the 1st paragraph of the BAT page.

I have been thinking about installing a relay, but how do you do it? do you completely bypass stock wiring and go from battery to relay to lights? If you put it between stock wiring and bulbs, you aren't letting any more wattage get to bulbs because you are still going through thin stock wiring at some point?

I have no clue as how to wire them.

I used to have the Cuzo bulbs in my CSVT from www.dcmotorsports.com The lows were 85w and the highs were 100 w and I never had any problems with anything melting. I wonder if the BAT bulbs are from Europe and need some special wiring because MANY people here have not only run the 85w bulbs but have installed the high beams in the low beam sockets w/o any problems. I'm currently running the 50w fogbulbs in my ride w/o any problems and they've been in there since the summer of 2000 I'd like to compare the Silverstars to my PIAA platinums, just to see if theres any difference. In the spring I'll have the MMS headlights and it will not make a lick of difference anyways because I'll have quad projectors w/ HID
