It still smells like oil, but I'm going to give it a little while before I check it out underneath again. Hopefully the clean bottom end will allow me to pinpoint the leak. But you said it could also be the valve cover, how can I check that? Yes, I am losing a bit of oil, but not at an alarming rate. Maybe it's time to 3L and address all these issues when the engine is out.
