Thank you very much, guys. The pics in the Mag were taken at the GT66 event at the Route 66 Dragway outside Joliet IL. I think Christian also entered his car in the car show and did quite well (1st place maybe?? not sure).

Unfortunately, I haven't seen ot talked with Christian since that event. I can't seen to get a hold of him.

Also, in case you haven't been to my website recently, I was finally defeated in competition at the IASCA World Finals in October. I took 2nd place (out of 12) in my class and was only 1.8 points out of first. Oh well. At least I have National titles in both the SLAP Pro Street 1-600 and MECA SQL Master classes for 2002 to go with my IASCA World Title from 2001.

I have been in contact with Rodney Wills, the editor of CA&E and the person that took the pictures you are seeing in the mag, about getting a feature done on my car. He wants to do it, it is just a matter of getting on his schedule. Hopefully it will happen soon.

Thanks again for the props!

Actually Christian came in like 4th at GT66.

I thought my tuning was go enough for him to place better but in improving his stage, I lost a little on tonality.

While there he was talking like he may have to do a tour of duty and that may be why no one has heard from him.

Alright, this is the stupid question of the hour, but why are the walls of the sub enclosure so friggin thick? Is this a must, or just personal prefference?

You don't want the walls of the encloure to breath, that is flex in response subs back wave.

The flexing and or the back wave will distort the speaker response and makes tuning a challenge.

So many comp cars have 1" + wall thickness sub enlosures.

SPL guys even reinforce the hole vehicle with steel or concrete. I know 2 SQ guys using concrete to stiffen their sub box or panel around the box.
