He said during a dyno there was less than a pint in the pan. So it is still getting oil. "less than a pint" is your buffer...

We know the pickup is on the right side of the pan.

In a long right hand sweeper, that "Buffer" is zero, if we guess all the oil shoots over to the left side.


It should run fine on a dyno, as long as there is some oil in the pane to keep the recirculation going.
