On wednesday I got a letter from Carlisle productions . In the letter , it said that LAST year we had 21 people register under "Contour Enthusiasts Group" , and as of April 14th , we had 22 people registered .
We have until APRIL 30th to get the other 3 people to get our free tent this year .
I have the tent reservation form in my hands , and I will be calling closer to the deadline (April 30th) to see weather I'll be sending it back or not . No 25 people by April 30th , no tent ...
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone who supported the Contour "tribe" again this year ! Closer to C-day , we'll have to discuss stuff like a cookout , etc.

Hopefully these weren't part of your "as of April 14th" count - which would take us up to 25!
If we are one short, I am willing to contribute to "registering" a Contour that is not going to ensure we get our own class and tent.

It was brought to my attention last night (by my brother) that WE HAVE OUR OWN CLASS at Carlisle this year !!!! I got my (club) info packet quite some time ago , but haven't had time to read it (nor did I think I HAD to) .
Under the header "The following classes have been expanded"
Escort ZX2 & Contour SVT - individual classes for each
I realize that it says "Contour SVT" , it should read "Contour and Contour SVT" . I WILL be making a call to ensure that every Contour will be in the same class . I thought I was explicit enough last year about the listing , but I guess I wasn't ...  . Anyways , we got it !
This IS NOT an indication that we got the needed 25 cars ... I REPEAT , This IS NOT an indication that we got the needed 25 cars !!!! The flyers were printed up quite some time ago , I'm sure . I've had mine for WEEKS now  . When I call about the class info , I will ask about the 25 cars / tent issue . Anyone that pre-registered should be getting a flyer in the mail soon .
I thought you'd like to know as soon as I found out . More info as it becomes available ...

Well, it's good to see we got our own class this year. Didn't want to be with those darn zx2's again this year.

I just registered. I was told the CEG is up to 22 registrants officially. They said they are still processing alot of mail in's and would have that completed today. 25 is within our grasp!

Well , I spoke to the girl in charge of the club registrations yesterday (via e-mail) . As of yesterday (4-30) , we are still stalled at 22 people  . She said that there might be more needing to be processed and I will know more next tuesday (the 6th) . I'm going to check back then to see the final vote on weather we have a tent or not .
I also put in a request to turn the Contour class from listed as a "Contour SVT" class to a general "Contour" or a "Contour / Mystique" class . She said she'd pass it along .
Thanks to all who sent their forms in and registered on time . You guys are great !!!! You're keeping the hope alive for a decent meet at Carlisle , and because of you we got our own class  . I am , however disappointed that we even have to think about what count we're at , having sent out 45 pre-registration forms to people  .

Allen, You posted on 4/18 that as of 4/14, 22 people registered. Since that time: 4/16 - 3LPOWER's girlfirend 4/16 - r96se 4/17 - bknauber 4/28 - larsofvt That should be 4 more on top of the 22.  Yet to register: 2Gsport After your next count call, if we are one short, I'll head up registering a "Ghost Contour" to get us up to 25.

I told her that there were a few more that recently registered , but here's the first line of her reply e-mail : Quote:

I was dissapointed to see that in the first line . She's been nice enough to give us an extra week to see if any more registrations get processed in the meantime . I even asked her to make sure noone entered C.E.G. as the club , even though I explicitly said to spell out the club , but 22 was all she counted . I'm going to check back next tuesday like she said . Hopefully there will be 3 more entries processed . If not ... hot sun for everyone !
