This is what the tint shops in Florida do.
Peel off as much of the outer layer as you can.
Get a can of Dow scrubbing bubbles, some coarse steel wool and some plastic bags.
Tape off the door panel with the plastic bags, just in case, spay the window with the bubbles, use the steel wool to scrub off the glue.
You may have to re-do the bubbles to get all the glue off.
It will have streaks, windex will take care of the rest.
