If it truly is tire noise, the noise won't go away until the tires are replaced. An alignment will usually keep the wear pattern from getting worse, but it will not correct the wear pattern that has already developed.
Check your tires for cupping. Cupped tires make nearly the same sound as a bad wheel bearing. Often a cupped tire can be better found by feel rather than by sight.
