Alright, bringin up my old post. I went last night and my lowest time was 11.435 @ 60.1 mph!! I was babying it though( not trying to make excuses). I droppedd it from around 2k rpms and held out my revs to long(I think). Heres my slip( the other car in the other lane was a 69 camaro with a 454 )

Hey hey if you wanna drag race, NUKE THAT PUPPY! Smash that thing to the floor and pray the differential doesn't go J/K It appears that you might need a tune up (spark plug wires and plugs, fuel filter and air filter) because you're loosing a lot of power. Compaired to my run (see a few above posts) you ran 1.5 seconds slower then me, but the important figure here is you only ran 60mph, I ran 70. Horsepower is more based on speed more then it is on time. It appears that is you best bet is to TUNE HER UP! (BTW the best way to check and see if your wires are bad, pop the hood in pitch black and see it a blue arch passes over your wires, if it does, it's time to change um!) Trust me, I just changed wires, ONLY WIRES and my car screems now! I might get lucky this spring and pull a 14 in an SE!! (I didn't have any of those mods when I made the 15.4 second pass)

I just saw this - I was the other SE. It was pretty embarrasing, I only made one run and I went up against an older Lightning. I had a like a 1.4 second reaction time due to dumping the clutch on the last light and FRYING the tires through first. My first meet with the SD folks and they got to see that (Oh, and after I actually got moving the lighting didn't pull on me at all, but IIRC the older ones are mid 15 1/4 trucks anyway)

High 11s? I ran a 10.941 at 66.07MPH (1/4 track but looking at timeslip for the 1/8th ).

My bests: 9.696 @ 74.48 (best ET, on my sub-15 run) 9.779 @ 75.08 (best trap, on a 15.01 run)
I've only been above 10 sec 3 times in my last 20 runs. One missed 1-2 shift, and two 10.0x on the first run of the day (i.e. cold track).
FWIW. Apples to oranges for the original question.
