Check your codes again. Sometimes when you clean the EGR circuits[ports and valve] carbon gets loosened but maybe you didnt get out all the pieces, so later on when the engine was running some of the carbon worked its way into the seat of the EGR valve and is causing problems again. When you have CEL's always pull the codes, it will get you started in the right direction. Hope this helps.
