go to the FAQ section of the forums and you will see a section with all the cell codes just look them up there.. i think one means you need to replace your egr valve p401 insufficient air egr valve and p402 is excessive air flow egr valve .... once again i think cuz i had this too and i changed my egr valve and that code went away.

The first 3 codes are EGR related but the 1405 code indicates a DPFE sensor problem and could be causing the 0401 and 0402 codes which contradict each other. If all the hoses are good leading to the DPFE, you may need a new DPFE sensor. The 0340 is for a camshaft position sensor fault which could indicate a bad sensor, flakey sensor connector or big problems with the cam shafts & drive train. If the car is running OK, the 0340 may just be an intermittent sensor fault.

It's the Pressure sensor that messure the flow through the EGR valve. It messure the differential pressure across an orifice, and compares that to the tables in the ECU to determine whether the EGR is functioning correctly. It's quite intricate and the diaphragm is made from a type of rubber/yrethane, which after extended exposure to the corrosive exhaust gases, detriorates and begins to output false signals.

some of us here who have cel's and codes re: egr have cleared the codes by cleaning the egr ports behind the throttle body...and the throttle body as well since u have to remove it to get to the ports...
others can offer more insight, but in the meantime u can go to the how-to's section and read up on the procedure to clean the ports
i have 95 tho which pulls different codes so this doesn't necessarily have to be whats wrong but the ports getting clogged with carbon will definitely give u codes for the egr system
