Thanks for the help. I looked at the Mitchells manual at the library... its an excellent manual and went into plenty of detail on troubleshooting the tranny code.
i rechecked the codes a number of times and it sure enough was 461. I checked a number of sources and determined that somehow it just recorded a bad number, no such thing as a 461. i am gonna just clear that code 461 and move on.
