Sorry, but I don't agree with you guys. There have been a number of us who have had this problem and had it fixed a different way. Mine was fixed with a new Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Others have had theirs fixed with a new MAF or MAP sensor, or the IAC valve. I think you need to have these other possibilities checked out too. I think the key here is that your RPMs actually GO UP and stay there for a while. Anything that causes the PCM to make the mixture richer can cause this problem. Though the copper fitting may work in correcting the symptom, it may not necessarily cure the actual disease.
