What's everyone think of oil in the intake on a car with only 26K on it. The car is driven hard, I autox and time trialed all this summer, and it must have started this summer. It's a fair amount of oil, the entire rubber intake from the TB to the air filter has a nice coating on the bottom half which is starting to pool up on the backside of the filter. Much like my 91 5.0 Tbird had but that was after 75K. I'm curious to see when others have noticed this problem and how soon afterward did the engine go? laugh While I was checking all this out I noticed that the driver's side support/engine mount is completely broken it's just sitting in it's hole and the trans side of the engine is hanging. Rust has already started to form on the bolt so it's been that way for a little while at least. As far as the engine situation goes the car is still under warranty but I'm not real excited about having the engine replaced since problems are sure to follow. I'm a mechanic I know we never put things back the way they were. laugh I'm considering buying an extended warranty that way if the engine goes during next years racing season I don't have to deal with it. I just felt like venting a bit but I'm curious on others opinions about the oil in the intake.

Do you have a K&N filter or a KKM ??? If it's between the filter & the throttle body , the problem could be an over-oiled air filter ...

just a possibility confused

The car is completely stock from intake to exhaust. The car is now at the dealership for a few repairs we'll see what they say about the oil.
