I don't know the price yet. I've been trying to get Keith to give me that info for a while but I'm still in the dark about it (I just left him a message - I'm going to try again to pry the info from him).
ddmd3216: Well, I've been running a version of this under my hood for several months and thousands of miles and will tell you this...In Phoenix, it's hot as ballz. I'd have to say my car runs at the same temp and sometimes cooler than before. As far as wear and tear go; I agree there is probably some truth to that. However, I don't know that any aftermarket component for the engine will alleviate you of that problem. I don't think that simply introducing more air will cause significant wear over the stock configuration.
Hector: You're right, I would like to slap on a CTA and dyno just to see how the ol' car does. I'll say again, though: I don't think the CTA has the potential to match this piece. C'mon, 11 HP difference (average)
at the wheels between this CAI and my already hacked up stock intake.
Conclusion: I understand all of your concerns, and if I come off snippy, please forgive me as I'm having problems of the marital kind right now. I'm normally a very calm, collective guy and will do my best to not alienate anyone by the tone of my text.
Has anyone dynoed their car before/after with a CTA? If so, I'd love to see the results (SQPlus - where are you?).
