Sounds like a timing problem to me. What engine do you have, by the way?
I think Ford service reps are instructed to not give a rat's a$$ and to drag their feet for as long as possible, especially when warranty work is involved (no kidding: I see big scuff marks around my dealer's service counter!). Must go through shoes a lot.
