I have a power antenna that needs a new mast. It goes up but won't drive down without a little push to get the "tape" engaged with the drive gear. Looks like the end may have broken off. Where can I find one?
It's a 95 with the antenna on the rear. Thanks, Wip

Dealer for sure, replacement mast comes with new "tape", using your terminology.

On a closely related note I think I have stumbled onto a better lubricant for the mast.

Recently after lubing the chain on my mountain bike I realized that I might just be holding the ideal antenna mast lubricant in my hand.

I had been using Tri-Flow, WD40, or Superlube on the antenna mast. I never felt that any of them seemed ideal. I tried the White Lightning chain lube I had in my hand and it seems much more satisfactory.

White Lightning is a chain wax that is in a liquid form. It goes on like a heavy oil, but dries into a soft wax. Don't use White Lightning Raceday. Raceday is much dirtier. Regular White Lightning is so clean that it is safe to park your bike on a carpet and not worry about chain drippings getting on the carpet.

Anyway, it works for me.

Thanks for the tip. I just hit mine with silicone yesterday but I've never been happy with that for long. I'll have to try the White Lightining out (my best friend runds the bike-ski-boat department at a major sporting goods store here).
