I just want to warn people here. A number of us have recently put in Autolite or Motorcraft plugs and have developed a misfire.

In tracking down the problem, you never blame the plugs because you just replaced them. But it is the plugs, believe me. I wasted 7 months replacing different parts until I finally put in cheapo Champion copper plus plugs and the problem is solved.

Another member replaced his NGK plugs with Motorcraft plugs on a 98 SVT and got the same misfire as I did. He is back to the NGKs and the misfire is gone.

If you develop a misfire or notice your engine running any hotter than normal, bring the damn plugs back and try NGK or even copper plugs.
