1 a. So you are saying you made those claimed gains with the stock damper piggy backed on your undampened UDP???
1 b. No it is not fully functional. When you change the orientation and positioning of the damper it alters the frequency range in which it operates (Where's Judge when you need him)
1 c. Again, have you ever thought about selling the P/S pulley seperately? It would likely be a big seller being as most folks don't want to compromise reliability by running an undampered crank pulley.
2. We have pictures and posts online to prove otherwise (Where's Terry when you need him) Let me try and hunt them down for you! Main bearing failure is not pretty!
addendum - I still say at least half your claimed gain is from the P/S pulley alone. I noticed no difference between the switch from your UD crank pulley to stock while keeping both the P/S pulley and an Alt UDP on the vehicle.
Then when I switched to the DMD I noticed an actual improvement in acceleration even with it weighing 1lb more than stock. The reduced crank whip and vibrations have less parasitic loss and on top of that add to engine longevity and reliability.
