The stock crank damper will not function in the frequency range it is designed for if you change it's positioning and orientation. (I.E. it is WORTHLESS DEAD WEIGHT)
Also the engine would rev slower when you add the weight of the 2 pulley's together. (the SHO pulley plus the stock pulley outweigh the DMD itself by nearly 3lbs) That in itself would negate any HP gained and just leave you with a slower revving engine. Why bother?

We are the ones that designed the pulleys, not just a reseller. It seems to me you missed the Dynojet chart included on page 3 of the SHO Shop UDP instructions. We design all of our own parts and we test all of our parts on our in-house Dynojet 248C. The Underdrive Pulleys picked up 4hp/4 ft. lbs TQ on our '98 Project SVT, and have seen as much as 6-7 hp on other Contours. We are not afraid to post if a part only makes 1 hp or even loses horsepower, it will all be proven on the dynojet.
We have been designing parts for the SHO for over 8 years now, and have carried over that experience to the Contour SVTs.
