this weekend i unhooked my vacuum controlled secondaries. i plugged the vacuum fitting with a screw and started the engine up, only to be addressed with a billow of sulfur-smelling smoke. i drove it for about 5-10 minutes, revving it high, accelerating to about 6000 in each of the gears. the smell continued. i got home, reconnected the vacuum, drove it for about an hour and a half over the next 2 days. i unhooked it again to show my friend what id done. now it is not smoking, and has just the slightest sulfur smell. it has a slight loss of power up to about 3000, but after that it just tears. i had added some injector cleaner to the tank and had taken out one of the injectors. i used some wd40 equivalent to help get the injector back into the slot. does anyone know what was causing the sulfur odor? was it possibly that the computer needed to adjust to the new airflow getting into the engine?
