I have had all of these problems, RPM sticking and RPM rise. When I took it to the dealer they found that the IAC valve solenoid was bad. They replaced it and the car drove like a dream for less then 2 months, and now the symptoms are coming back.

I don't know what to do because the car runs ok in the cold, but when the weather gets warmer, that's when it starts acting up again. With winter coming I don't know if its worth taking it to the dealer.
