They do look a lot nicer without pinstripes. Mine had chrome stripes that had turned foggy and white. Took one bar membership card, and some 3M adhesive remover to pull mine off. I used a heat gun instead of a hairdryer.
Make sure you wax up where the stripes were. The goof off will strip the wax right off the car.
