Well with you being over 100K I'm sure they'll turn you down to do it under warrenty. The cost on the repair is like 500 bucks I beleive. You might be able to talk them into paying half labor, but even then I'm doubtful. It sucks I know. If only Ford's manufacturer had used the right materials to begin with...
Oh and it's a service recall and not a Safety Recall. So they aren't required to notify you.
